Dr Becky Hull - Osteopath
M.Ost
Hi There. I’m Becky And I’m The Babies And Children’s Osteopath (Although I LOVE Seeing Adults Too!).
I began my career in Osteopathy in 2012 in the UK. What I love most about being an Osteopath is that I get to help people of all ages, from newborn babies to people in their 90s and above. I still get that buzz every day knowing that I've been involved in helping someone improve their life. I moved to Gippsland, VIC in 2015 and more recently have relocated to Brisbane.
I have particular interests in:
Babies and children
Breastfeeding issues
Getting to the bottom of the complex cases, helping those people who think they have too many problems and don't know where to start. I have additional training in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis management.
Neck and back pain
Headaches and jaw problems
What you can expect from a consultation with me:
Plenty of time for me to listen to your history and hear your story. Our bodies and lifestyles are so complex I like to make sure I fully understand your situation and how I can help. Then I can make the best decisions to formulate a treatment plan that is specific to you.
My treatment style is hands-on and focused on gentle movement. I like everyone to be able to fully relax and enjoy their treatment. I use a variety of techniques including Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT), Visceral and Cranial Techniques, Soft/Deep Tissue Massage, and occasionally High Velocity-Low Amplitude HVLA (spinal manipulation techniques).
I always try to incorporate some advice for self-care for all of my patients and include exercises, these can be yoga/pilates style exercises or things that you can do in the gym, or simply changing some of your daily habits, whatever will suit you best. I can recommend fun and age-appropriate exercises for children and provide things for them to practice at home with their family.
Qualifications and additional learning:
M.Ost - Master of Osteopathy
I regularly attend courses or online workshops in my spare time to further my knowledge and refine my skills. I have completed additional training in Paediatric Osteopathy, managing sporty adolescents, and Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.
I have also previously attended courses/workshops related to Birthing culture, Infant feeding, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME.
Memberships and Organisations.
An active member of Osteopathy Australia
I love working with you and your children in a way that will meet your needs and goals.
